Hive-X ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Hive-X mobile application ("App").

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for compatibility and support purposes.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not access your contacts, microphone, or other device sensors.
- We do not collect payment card details. All payment processing is handled securely by Apple.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the App's features and services.
- Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
- Enable team collaboration and project management.
- Process subscription purchases (via Apple's App Store).
- Send you important service-related communications.
- Improve the App's performance, features, and user experience.
- Provide customer support.
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Storage
- Your data is stored on secure cloud servers.
- Files (photos, documents, plans) are stored in cloud storage that persists across App updates.
- Database records are stored in PostgreSQL with encrypted connections.
3.2 Security Measures
- All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.
- Authentication uses secure token-based sessions with 30-day expiration.
- We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data.
4. Third-Party Services
4.1 Apple App Store
Subscription purchases and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We receive transaction receipts from Apple to verify your subscription status but do not have access to your payment card details.
4.2 OpenAI
We use OpenAI's services to generate FAQ content within the App. No personal user data is sent to OpenAI. Only generic, non-identifying queries are made to generate help content.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Your data may be shared only in the following circumstances:
- Within your team: Team members and invited clients can see project data, notes, files, and other content shared within the team's projects.
- Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Safety: To protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
6. Your Rights
Under Australian privacy law and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), you have the right to:
- Access your data: View the personal information we hold about you within the App.
- Correct your data: Update your name, email, and profile information through the App.
- Delete your account: Permanently delete your account and associated personal data through Profile > Account > Delete Account.
- Data portability: Download your project data through the project summary feature (Business plan).
- Withdraw consent: Stop using the App at any time.
7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile > Account > Delete Account). When you delete your account:
- Your personal information (name, email, profile photo) is permanently removed.
- Your team memberships and client associations are removed.
- All active sessions are invalidated.
- Any active subscription must be cancelled separately through your Apple ID settings.
8. Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
- Upon account deletion, personal data is removed promptly.
- Project content contributed to teams may be retained for the team's use.
- We may retain anonymised usage data for analytical purposes.
9. Children's Privacy
Hive-X is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information.
10. Cookies and Tracking
The Hive-X mobile App does not use cookies or web tracking technologies. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
12. Australian Privacy Act Compliance
We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). If you believe we have breached the APPs, you may lodge a complaint with us or with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
